Yeah, so I dicked up the first article. This one will be a little bit better, but still needs improvement to be perfect. On a whim while building my scooter I asked Joel; "How many body styles of the E7 are there actually?" "I unno," he muttered back. Having reviewed my original E7 article long ago, I realized it was crappy, like all the other things I post. I spent a few hours collecting photos, to help build a better article than before. For those of you in the know, the "E" in the chassis code is often associated with the...

Finding a Rack swap is quite important now! [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="625"] Customize all the things! My helmet looked a little blank, so I freshened it up a bit.[/caption]     It's the next step in my school cars progress!!!! The steering box is the next step in making this car feel better to drive. I picked up a steering rack so far, but the subframe, steering column and other parts are still being searched for.   Once I find the steering rack swap it's time to build a 2-wheel roll over rig. Since I was a kid I've wanted...

Let's pickup where we left off...where were we....right! [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] Digging around in the engine bay I found both of these. Jammed into the engine mounts. It looks like someone kept dropping and replacing their oil caps. lol I don't know how many years this car was carrying around 3 different oil caps.[/caption] Put a new distributor O-ring in today. It's been many years since I actually timed a vehicle myself. Don't worry, I can design 3 piece wheels to near exact manufacturing requirements, but timing an old carb'd car isn't common knowledge to me. Took a lot...

10 days ago I picked up my 27th Corolla I've ever owned! It's a 1982 TE72 with 267,000km on it. 3TC automatic. This purchase was justified in my brain by the added duty beyond a daily driver, of being a tool of education, a racing school student car. I'd been giving formal and information racing instruction during our drifting events for years now. For some it was successful for others, not so much. I realized recently what a major differentiating factor was: the cars! Some students showed up in good working cars, that ran well, and were logically or accidentally...

Here's just some random stuff from lately. I managed to score a whore of a scooter. This started as someones mom's scooter, then their sons, then their friends, another friends, lent and returned from another friend, then spent some time in a storage unit. 1984 Honda Spree, in the Canadian only 'Vista Blue'. It's a Heap. #1 lesson in scooters is DONT REMOVE THE AIR BOX. The tiny little 2 strokes don't do well as the carbs are purposely oversized and need the restriction the air box gives to run and idle properly. It does not make them faster to...
