This has nothing to do with erections. Don't even think about them when reading this.
Boner is usually associated with Penis's, but it's actually a synonym for blunder, or error. In a way this association was crudely acute to an other wise very fun and successful drifting event. Honesty first, the jam was great, good layout, very casual and some really good driving. A decent turnout for what I expected would show on a Wednesday morning.
The first boner I noticed was the good flow of drivers onto the track, this was not the jams boner, but rather the boner of the comparsion to CCD. With such a relaxed atmosphere, drifting happened, and it happened consistently. Adam's Boner came first, he managed to jam his FC into the smallest of gaps. The spectator entrance along the front stretch wall got boned with the tip of his car and he spewed all over the track! Please, People, your going to a drift day, it is a race track, run water, NOT coolant.
The second noticable boner for the day was Liam, in his little missile of a Corolla. The car has hit so many walls, tires, trees, banks, boobs and bunkers that all the suck has been smashed out, leaving nothing but awesome. Coming hot around the corner, Liam's boner involved exploding all over the track in a splashy fashion. Minimal damage, but enough to warrant a trip to the parts store.
The third boner was the end of a Chassis. It's always sad to see a known car die, but it's just my Guess that Dylan's red 240. Having previously boned a garbage bin, the bum was looking a little folded, as if an omen for the day. And so lay the 3 'drifting' victims of the day, with a focus on destroying their front rights.
The other boner was the sheer amount of rear right tires used. Some people came prepared, but most didn't. By the end of the day, many cars were down simply from the lack of foresight in spare parts. Tires being number 1, tie rods, fluids and hoses.
In any case, thanks to the guys at Platform Garage, especially Joel Fox for the good day of drifting, and the burgers! :D
