Although named similar, Speedhunters delivers pretty decent photograghs, generally the stories arn't to great. I find that they sometimes miss the good shit. Case in point, their recent coverage of a Celica by a group called Hydraulic Drifter Oldies. A post made a while back about their famous and crazy chopped roof Levin pickup showed a glimpse of a new drift track and what appears to be the home of HDO, Hiroshima Speedway Circuit!
Sadly I don't have the huge production team, nor the budget....er patience to gather information other than I know it's a fairly new track and very drift oriented. A climbing hair pin that swoops down to a sudden banked multi apex corner. This small track lends itself to some great drifting footage, if nothing else, because it's so concave you can catch entire runs from a single vantage point!
although it appears to be a bit of a glorified Gymkhana pad, having seen this course only briefly early on I knew it was soon to be added to my list of Favorite courses. Japan's now got a few on there: Nikko being my all time favorite even before going to Japan the first time, Tsukuba I love, and I have yet to witness Meihan or Bihoku in person, both which are CLASSIC D1 tracks. That's why this HSC gets me excited, it reminds me of the days of old, and I'm sure D1SL and MSC are running events on it!
