These videos popped up in my recommended list. I found them kind of shocking, simply because these are the days BEFORE the internet. So the origins and sharing of this style of 'euro' lowriding in my mind was centralized mostly to the United states, especially Florida and California....However, these videos are straight from Japan. Who influenced who and where was the spark originally? What types of medias were being watched and by whom? I used to be an avid follower of Lowrider and Eurolowrider magazine when I was younger, and there was no Japanese influence I remember being written about...

Hard tops and cool runnings. I'm always a fan of interesting and multipurpose car roofs. It's a rarity in it's own, and I'm not talking about putting in two sunroofs. Rather, various transformations of roofs for the purpose of fun and leisure wrapped onto something sporty and quick is interesting and different. Volkswagen, best truck in the world?

More and more I get sucked closer to owning a VW. Everyday, in my lofts of odd research I learn little tid-bits of cool that I just can't shake. Balatch the other night hit me with a photo. Pictured about is the Volkswagen Taro, a partnership deal between Toyota and VW in order to gain Toyota some market share, and allow VW to fill a gap in their line up. Although Europeans buy very few trucks, the Taro still isn't too uncommon.
