Capital Drift, Friday May 21st.

This is a first in Speed Hero History that we use the blog to promote and up coming event. It's worth it, our local events are just that local, grass roots and fun. Bring the friends and family, CapD needs the support both in spirit and financially. Come see regular joes tear up their cars and some grass. What: Drifting! Now For Something We Hope You'll Really Like.

I didn't have much to say about Cap D and no pictures of my own. I ended up overwhelmed with the excitement of flogging my own slag all over the track. First thing everyone needs to do is take a look of the amazing photos coming from Val Melnik The weather ran the gammut from hurrican winds and driving rain to gorgeous, track drying sun. The turn out was immense which made for long waits between runs but a lot different skill levels just out to have fun....


Slip, Slip, Grip, Spin.

The first Capital Drift practice of 2010 and what an explosive start. With at least 17 cars in attendance there was a huge variety of cars, power and skill level. The morning air was cool and the track was still wet. We now have the first Capital Drift even under our collective belts. There were a couple of cuts, bruises and battle scars but everyone was able to roll home with some entertaining stories to tell. The turn out was immense, a lot of new faces and a decent variety of fodder. 2010 will be a killer season for Capital Drift. The full post is on it's way. Check back often.
