Wow! What a strange week. We spent 60 hours building up a Lexus V8 MA61 Supra to go drag racing on Friday night....

So, 60 hours into rebuilding the brakes, redoing the entire wiring harness, new fuel lines and other basic maintenance. Roll it out to the track....BANG POP POW! The 1uzfe sounds so good coming out the poorly welded cherry bombs that a bunch of muscle car guys come over to give props; hand shake, fist bumps and head nods. Roll up to the line, small burnout, set the tree....LAUNCH! and bog bog bog to the time of a 24 second 1/4 mile run. So much fail.
Here, I'll admit it. I'm Stealing photos from Damian. He didn't say yes...but he didn't say no either....

Friday was the start of the annual Toronto Supra Club meet. There were quite a few Supras at PUR automotive...
...as well as sharing the drag strip at Cayuga with the ProStreet Nationals being held.
Phil's Saturday went a little different than mine, but we both had fun. Phil stuck with the Supra guys while I got to go watch the Toronto stop for the DMCC drift event at Downsview, I should have been driving! Thanks to Andrew Gregg for a few shots of the drifting action! More to come! (He's very talented car soul thief!)

Sunday rolled around and lapping commenced. Back out to Cayuga to hunt down some Ferrari's and S2000's. Something awesome about passing big name cars like that in a $1500 Supra....

I had an amazing amount of fun playing instructor for the afternoon. Jen, Micrea and Dave were all students of mine for the day and I felt some great improvements occurred from all of them.

You can't fight a Lotus on a tight course, that's like trying to fend off a squeezy snake without teeth. That's right Squeezy snake.

JP Ellis took some rather candid shots of me as I was suiting up to go drive the course. I was proud, I did well that day, room for improvement, but I honestly did pass the Ferrari and a yellow S2000. Nothing like hunting a car through a set of corners only to get to the straight away and have them pull aside, put the blinkers on and wave you past. Submissions are wonderful, however, another Supra lapper was receiving my push and blew a hose, pouring smoke all over the track, a feeling of victory is very shallow. :D

You know, I'm happy he brought out his Ferrari to see some track, but I wish he would've pushed it a bit harder! Always next time!

Sadly this post ends. I had held off waiting for some more content, it sucks not owning a Camera and having to borrow images, but thus is life. My weekend was hectic and filled with car fun. Look for more DMCC content as it pops up!
